Stay with Us!

"They urged Him strongly, 'Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.'" Luke 24:29

After Jesus had arisen from the dead, He met a group of His followers along the Road to Emmaus. At first they didn't recognize Him. At the end of the day, they knew Him and wanted Him to remain with them.

We live in a day that is 'far spent.' Many signs are evident that the end of all things is near at hand. It takes merely a cursory reading of Biblical prophecy, not a degree in end-times theology to recognize that the 'Later Day' is upon us.

In seeing what we see, and knowing what we know (for HE has warned us of the signs of His coming and He has shared in His Holy Word the Bible how 'that day' will unfold) should we not be upon our knees before Him, imploring Him to stay with us?

Should we not beg for His forgiveness for our myriad sins which are great--our sins of omission and our sins of commission--and allow Jesus to wash us clean again in the cleansing font that flows from Calvary!

Oh, LORD JESUS! REVIVE US! RENEW OUR FAITH! RESTORE OUR VIRTUE WHICH YOU PURCHASED FOR US AT GREAT PRICE! USE US IN THESE LAST DAYS TO APPRISE ALL MEN OF WHO YOU ARE! LET THERE BE A MIGHTY MOVE OF YOUR HOLY SPIRIT THAT RESTORES US TO YOU!

It is in YOUR HOLY, MIGHTY, MATCHLESS NAME we pray, JESUS. Amen.
