The Seed

The Seed

"The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God's word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!" Matthew 13:23

The Lord wants His people to produce fruit. The seed of truth that He has sown into you can flourish into countless souls added to the Kingdom of Christ if you will but nurture it and allow it to come to the fruition He intends for it.

Let the good soil of your life bring forth much fruit to HIS glory.

Encountering Christ

At the turn of the Twentieth Century, a young Italian immigrant woman encountered the truth that changed her life forever. She became a woman of profound faith in Christ. He who she had known from afar became the heart of her being. Unfortunately, her husband did not know Him at all.

Because he did not understand the change that had occurred in her, because he was a man of the world whose life was steeped in earthly pursuits, he hated the new LOVE in his wife's heart. He could not talk her out of it, nor could he beat it out of her.

She loved him and she endured his abuse but she would not give up her relationship with Jesus. After several years of her trying to love her husband into the Kingdom of Christ and his effort to abuse her out of it, the man decided to follow her to the little church where he felt his troubles began. He took his gun with him.

He approached the pastor and fired at him, point blank. He fired four times but the gun would not discharge its missile of death. In frustration, he went outside and fired the gun again. This time it functioned properly and harmlessly into the ground!

At that moment, the Holy Spirit came upon the man and he recognized the Christ he had been fighting. He ran back into the church, fell upon his knees at the altar, confessed his sin, his need of salvation, and gave his heart to the Savior who loved him and had spared him from becoming a murderer.

He loved his wife more fervently from that moment on they strove to build the Kingdom of Christ together--within their family and within the expanding circle of people who would come to know Him through their ministry.

What could not be accomplished through her years of faithful witness before her husband, God did in one moment.

YES! God can indeed transform whatever problem you are facing from being an immovable object before you to being a flowing river of His help that washes away your failure and glorifies your Jesus.

God will open doors that no man can shut. He will connect you to the right people and thrust you years down the road.
