WHO IS THIS GOD?
Who is this GOD that we should praise HIM? Who is HE, who though HE came as an infant born to humble parents, whose first bed was a manger in a stable among the livestock, was proclaimed by angels and worshiped by wise men?
Why do believers, 2000 years later, still bow before HIM as did the shepherds on that starlit night?
Why have men of faith through the centuries been willing to lay down
their lives for this ONE?
Why have they been willing to suffer cruel deaths--set aflame as human torches at Nero's feasts? Thrown to lions for the amusement of the crowds at Rome's Colosseum? Torn limb from limb on the rack of the inquisitors? Beheaded by radicals?
Why?
Who is this GOD for whom they will die?
Of HIMSELF HE says: "HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE." Isaiah 9:6
HE is the ONE of whom it is written, "AT THE NAME OF JESUS, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW, OF THOSE ON THE EARTH AND UNDER THE EARTH, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, TO THE GLORY OF GOD." Philippians 2:10
From where will you worship HIM? From Heaven or from hell?
Your eternal destination depends upon whether or not you worship HIM here on earth today.
