A Striking Contrast

"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my Strength and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14

We have become a people who are what our parents would have called, 'thin skinned.' We are highly acute to any slights we may perceive to our selves. We don't abide any insult; we disdain any corrective criticism.

In that, we are most unlike "The Greatest Generation" whose ire was risen by an onslaught of evil against Christian civilization. In the face of such a threat again today, we are more concerned with trivialities that offend us than we are about a diabolical entity that would destroy us.

Open our eyes, LORD! Help us to see! Let us boldly speak the words that must come to the ears of a somnolent people--and awaken them to the dire predicament that they MUST ADDRESS OR DIE!

HEROIC!
PATHETIC!
