Our Prayer

Lord Jesus, we read of the marvelous things YOU have done in the behalf of our nation in years past. We know You have sent hurricanes and fog and friendly fire to thwart the schemes of the enemies of freedom.

O, our Savior and our God, we are moved to deeper faith by the rich evidence of Your presence and power with us as a people. We believe and are sure that You raised up these United States of America for purposes that transcend time and touch eternity. We know, our Glorious God, that You established this nation for Your eternal purposes.

We know You have used this land to thwart oppressors in two great world conflagrations. We know You have used this land to further the Gospel, Your Word of Truth, far abroad from our own shores. We know You have a people here who love You and serve You with all their hearts, minds, spirits and temporal resources.

And we know the onslaught of Your ancient enemy upon this land has been relentless. That old schemer and devil has raised up an army of evil against this nation that was placed at Your feet at its inception.

That army has marched forth in every nook and cranny of evil and increased it like a cancer to eat away at the moral fabric of this land. Pornography has grown. Child pornography has grown. Insidious unbelief has grown. Godless religions have grown.

Our own government, whose responsibility was to guard the practice of the Christian faith in this land has become an enemy of the religion of our founding fathers.

A diabolical entity has entered our country. It is one where our own professed citizens have allegiance to a sedition that is bent upon the overthrow of of our government and is set upon establishing its own law in place of our Constitution and its dominion over us.

Our own leaders and prospective leaders are blind to its purposes. They cannot see that such sedition has no place here and is denied entry here by law which states that no entity desiring the overthrow of our law should be allowed entry into our land.

Lord Jesus, as You heard the prayers of our forefathers in the behalf of this nation, we ask YOU to hear our prayers today. We ask You to pull down wickedness in high places. We ask You to pull down sin--to pull it out at its root in the hearts of our people and to trample it under the feet of believers and scatter it impotent to the wind.

We ask YOU to MOVE BY THE POWER OF YOUR HOLY SPIRIT--that same SPIRIT THAT RAISE YOU FROM THE DEAD AND DWELLS IN US (according to Romans 8:11) and to REVIVE US AGAIN!

We ask that YOU SEND A THIRD GREAT AWAKENING TO STIR THE HEARTS AND INCREASE THE FAITH OF YOUR PEOPLE SO WE WON'T CEASE TO BOMBARD HEAVEN WITH OUR PRAYERS UNTIL YOU REVIVE US AND MAKE US HOLY AND WHOLLY YOURS!

We pray II Chronicles 7:14 over our land and our people which says, "If MY people, who are called by MY name, will humble themselves and pray and seek MY face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I HEAR FROM HEAVEN AND FORGIVE THEIR SIN AND HEAL THEIR LAND."

Lord Jesus, let it be! Revive us again so when earth's final conflagration against the force of satan comes, we will be ON YOUR SIDE.

In Your Mighty and Matchless name we pray, JESUS. Amen.
